Andreas Refsgaard er en internationalt anerkendt kreativ programmør, digital kunstner og anerkendt foredragsholder, forfatter og underviser inden for primært kunstig intelligens.

I hans arbejde inden for feltet mellem kunst og interaktionsdesign bruger han algoritmer, programmering og maskinlæring til at udforske det kreative potentiale i nye digitale teknologier.

Han var en del af det hold, der udviklede Googles “Teachable Machine” og han udgav bogen “Skabt af en kunstig intelligens?” på Samfundslitteratur (2021) sammen med Mads Korsgaard. Andreas har også været gæsteunderviser på MIT (Center for Art, Science & Technology).

Andreas har en kandidatgrad (MSc) i IT fra IT-Universitetet i København og en bachelorgrad i sociologi fra Københavns Universitet. Han gennemførte desuden i det 1-årige interaktionsdesign-program på Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID) i 2015.

Andreas' kunstneriske praksis er kendetegnet ved en humoristisk og legende tilgang til digitale værktøjer og deres anvendelsesmuligheder. Hans værker kombinerer ofte input og output på fantasifulde måder.

Hans værker er blevet offentliggjort i New Scientist, Vice, Gizmodo, PSFK og Designboom, og han har modtaget priser fra Interaction Awards og Core77 samt udstillet på museer og festivaler i Europa, Nordamerika, Asien og Australien.

Workshops, oplæg og kommercielle projekter

Udover sin kunstneriske praksis underviser Andreas i workshops om kreativ brug af AI, kode og maskinlæring sammen med Transmission, samt på kunst- og designskoler i Danmark og internationalt.

Han holder også ofte oplæg på konferencer, events og festivaler verden over. Som freelance kreativ koder har han arbejdet på kommercielle projekter for kunder som Google Creative Lab, Carlsberg, Philips og LittleBits.
